The 299-year celebrations were marked by a special reception by Mayor of Perm Aleksey Demkin at The Theatre-Theatre and awards ceremony to mark the achievements and success of the residents.

The festivities on June 12, 2022 included a vast programme of events at numerous locations over the city, including a variety of performances, competitions and festivals.

The barbeque festival was organised in the city centre with numerous stands for the farmer’s produce and the barbeque area. Visitors enjoyed tasting various foods, including the ones cooked on the largest in Russia pan.

The embankment locations were full of activities during the whole day – with sports and games,  playgrounds for children and performances by musical groups. Young people enjoyed the DJ Festival in the new open-air theatre.

As part of a long-term street exhibition project “Open-air museums” dedicated to the 300-year anniversary of Perm, five  new locations were organised in  different parts of the city with stands displaying information on the city’s nature, theatres, enterprises and famous residents.
